ASIA releases translations of Affordable Care Act facts sheet
AKRON – Asian Services In Action (ASIA) is pleased to announce the translation of a simple English facts sheet on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), also known as the health reform law, into Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Laotian, and Vietnamese. The facts sheet is intended to inform limited English-proficient (LEP) Asian American & Pacific Islander individuals about important provisions in the PPACA, including the establishment of a Health Insurance Exchange/Small Business Health Options Program.

The release of these translated facts sheets is part of an Ohio-wide campaign to educate and engage Asian American & Pacific Islander communities on health care reform. ASIA is coordinating this campaign in partnership with Universal Health Care Action Network – Ohio (UHCAN Ohio) and the Ohio Asian American Health Coalition in Columbus.
